Gold Coast Country Club

Golfed here today to see what the course was like. This course is an unlimited play course. It is 37 km and 25 minutes from Currumbin. The course layout is interesting but the fairways were yellow and brown from fertilizer burns. Greens were good and the golf carts had GPS systems. The green fees were $30 with cart or $20 to walk. The pro insures me that next year the course will be in good shape as they are getting a better water system. The rating is 2 stars and not worth the drive.

Those golfers looking for a nice drive in the country should take the Currumbin Valley Road. It is only 22 km long but you pass some nice home, farms, rock pools and then you come to a National Park. Take the 1km hike thought the rain forest and see some small water falls. On the way back stop off at the Crystal restaurant for some Devonshire Tea in their gardens.
